A Simple and Modest funeral is a modern and practical way to say goodbye, where the services are reduced to the essentials. This funeral style is very simple, with a low budget, but without sacrificing respect and care.

How does it work?

You can easily discuss and arrange the funeral, online or by phone, so you know exactly what to expect. The price is fixed from the start. We will then ensure it is carried out correctly and carefully.

What can you expect from a Simple and Modest funeral?

Our Simple and Modest funerals include:

• A simple box
• Dressing the deceased
• 4 days stay at the funeral home
• Transport to the crematorium and/or cemetery
• A cremation or burial without ceremony, with a short farewell moment at the cemetery
• Clear price agreements without surprises afterwards

Funeral forms and rates

We offer these basic forms, each with a fixed price:

• Funeral without ceremony: € 1,332.70
• Cremation without ceremony: €1,365.00 (with OCMW certificate)
• Cremation without ceremony: €1,840.00 (WITHOUT OCMW certificate)

Each basic package cannot be expanded . Flowers can be added to the package at the normal rate.

A standard cross with or without Christ can also be added for an additional charge of €25.00.

Each basic package is tailored to a free concession, as determined by the terms and conditions of the relevant municipality.

Destination of the urn

If the municipality provides a cover stone, the cost will be invoiced directly to the surviving relatives. These costs are not included in the basic package.

With a grave marker it is kept simple:

• At a funeral: a wooden cross with a nameplate.
• In case of cremation: a nameplate.

With cremation, there are several options for the urn's destination. At the cemetery, you can choose:

• a scattering of ashes,
• a burial of the urn,
• a placement of the urn in an urn wall.

It is also possible to keep the urn at home.

Who is this Simple and Modest funeral suitable for?

This type of funeral is suitable for anyone on a limited budget or who consciously chooses simplicity. It's a respectful solution for those who don't require a formal ceremony.

Deviations from the selected package

We attach great importance to respecting the deceased's last wishes and are legally bound by them. If this last wish deviates from the services provided in the chosen package, we will always, after consultation, offer our standard service and the associated standard rates. This guarantees a correct and transparent process, respecting the deceased's wishes and the possibilities of our services.

In addition, if the ashes or coffin are to be placed at a location further than 20 kilometers from our funeral home, additional travel costs will be charged according to our standard rates.
