Thanatopraxy and transport

When the body needs to remain presentable for an extended period, for example during a funeral with several days between death and the ceremony, or during repatriation, thanatopraxy can play an important role. This light embalming ensures that the body remains in a well-groomed and serene state, without the need for refrigeration. This makes transport more pleasant and dignified, and prevents inconveniences such as discoloration or odor.
