You can arrange both a cremation and a burial with us, and we have access to all crematoria in Belgium.
With the necessary knowledge, know-how, and experience, we organize farewell ceremonies for adults, children, and even for the earliest life of a baby.

At the funeral home in Leefdaal, we have the "De Voer" hall with 80 seats. In this room, it is also possible to organize a reception for approximately 80 people.

At the funeral home in Kortenberg, we have the "De Molenbeek" hall with 50 seats. In this room, it is also possible to organize a reception for approximately 50 people.

History of Cromboom Funeral Care

Deno Funerals

Jos Deno began his career as a furniture maker and owned a successful furniture store in Leefdaal. His craftsmanship and eye for detail made his furniture beloved by the local community. At one point, Jos was asked if he could also make coffins. This request inspired him to offer this service, and demand for his coffins soon grew. This led Jos to decide to take things a step further and start his own funeral home. Thus, Begrafenissen Deno was founded in the funeral parlor in Leefdaal.

With a deep-rooted passion for both funeral care and pigeon racing, Jos managed to bring these two worlds together in the buildings of Leefdaal. His craftsmanship and eye for detail were evident not only in his furniture but also in the care and attention he devoted to every funeral. Jos approached every funeral with the same precision and dedication as his furniture, ensuring a personal and respectful approach to funeral care.

Jos was assisted in his work by his wife Paula, who was an indispensable support and confidant in the business. Paula's involvement and caring nature enhanced the warm and personal atmosphere of the funeral home. Together, Jos and Paula formed a strong team known for their professionalism and empathy.

At the end of 2004, Jos decided to take a new direction and handed over the reins to Broes Bellefroid. This transition marked the end of an era, but also the beginning of a new phase for Begrafenissen Deno. Broes continued Jos's traditions and values, while contributing his own vision and ideas to further grow the company.

Schoeters Funeral Services

In 2007, the paths of Broes Bellefroid and the couple William Schoeters and Francine Peeters crossed. At the time, William and Francine were the driving forces behind "Begrafenissen Schoeters" in Kortenberg. William's father used to own a carpentry business, and William started a funeral home on Kappellestraat in Kortenberg, alongside his father's workshop. Later, the funeral home was moved to its current location on Kiewitstraat. Their dedication and care for the community had earned them an excellent reputation.

In 2008, William and Francine decided to retire, which led to the acquisition of their funeral business by Broes. With this acquisition, Broes expanded its activities, meaning that Begrafenissen Deno - Bellefroid henceforth consisted of two funeral homes: one in Leefdaal and one in Kortenberg.

In 2007, Broes changed the name to Begrafenissen Bellefroid for both locations.

Cromboom Funeral Care

In the year 2022, Broes Bellefroid decided to give his life a different turn and set a new direction. He began his search for a suitable successor who could take over the management of both funeral homes. During this search, he came across David Cromboom, a well-known figure in the funeral sector with whom he had already built a professional relationship over several years.

On April 1, 2022, David started as manager of both the funeral home in Leefdaal and the one in Kortenberg. His experience and dedication to funeral care made him the ideal candidate to continue Begrafenissen Bellefroid. David brought a breath of fresh air to the company and ensured a high standard of care and service.

In February 2024, David took the next step by purchasing both properties. With this acquisition, he also decided to change the company's name to Uitvaartzorg Cromboom. This name change marked the beginning of a new chapter, in which David was able to integrate his own vision and approach. He introduced innovative ideas and improved existing services, while respecting the company's traditions and values.

David's leadership brought a new dynamic to funeral care, focusing on personal attention and tailor-made services for every funeral. His dedication and passion ensured that Uitvaartzorg Cromboom quickly became a trusted name in the region, known for its professionalism and empathy.
